The Penn State Lehigh Valley Blue and White Society and the Business Society collaborated on the first annual Career Café on Nov. 15. Students, faculty and staff who attended the session learned how to sell themselves using resumes. The Career Café consisted of multiple panelists who offered advice on self-marketing and professional resume construction.
The first review course will begin Jan. 7 and run to Feb. 25, 2017. The second review course will be held from March 4 to Apr. 28, 2017. Both will be held at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus in Center Valley.
Following last week’s presidential election, students, faculty and staff across the University have been organizing informal gatherings, round-tables and panel sessions to discuss this year’s election, related media coverage and the results. Here is a look at some of the discussions that have happened and are scheduled to take place.
The Penn State Lehigh Valley Benefiting THON organization has been actively working to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer this fall. The group held a dodgeball tournament, two successful canning weekends, and a 5K race. Upcoming events include the silent auction, Mr. Lehigh Valley, Lights in the Parkway and dancer send off.
The annual Best Practices in Teaching Writing Conference: Bridging Worlds, Bridging Literacies will take place on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus.
