Penn State Global may be based at University Park but the group impacts students and alumni from all points around the world. As of Oct. 24, the office has a new Global Engagement Coordinator who happens to be an alumna of Penn State Lehigh Valley. Rachel DeMesa’s love of cultures and languages will make her a valuable resource for international students.
Penn State students, faculty and staff with older versions of the id+ card are being asked to submit new photos ahead of re-carding events that will be held University-wide during the spring 2023 semester. There are multiple ways to submit a photo, and photos will be accepted from Nov. 7 through Nov. 23.
For most of her career, Nichola Gutgold, professor, communication arts and sciences at Penn State Lehigh Valley has studied and written extensively about women in leadership. PSU-LV was also represented at the international conference by Beth Michalec, assistant professor of corporate communication who presented “Re-envisioning Gates: Examining the Strategic Communication Implications of Leadership Changes in the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation”, a close look at the world’s largest nonprofit.
Current and would-be criminal justice majors at Penn State Lehigh Valley, along with interested campus community members, heard a lively account of daily life from two members of the Delaware Nature Resource Police force.
Thanks to a recent Partners in the Arts grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, DeLong Gallery's diverse slate of programming will continue for another year.
